Pork Pepper-o-nuts!


Here’s a new twist to my new Asian find recipe. I just added something to this pork in peppers to make it “interesting”, by blending two kinds of recipes. The result was fantastic!

For you folks with a taste for something Asian, this one is a must try. It’s very versatile, you can use chicken instead of pork with it. It’s low carb and gluten free, too!

Chile Chicken

This dish is commonly cooked in Asian counties, and in the Philippines, this is known to be as “halang-halang“, or spiced food. It is a perfect recipe for the fall season because of its spiciness. You can serve it with rice, bread or even when you are drinking with your buddies, otherwise known as “pulutan“, or finger foods (I mean, you can use the fork :))

No Pasta Lasagna!


I love pasta, but because of the lifestyle that I chose to follow I just can’t eat more of it without having the loads of guilt, not mentioning the carbs. BUT, I have found a recipe to save me from all that mouth-watering denial.

Chicken in Avocado Salad


One of my favorites that I am sharing is the Chicken in Avocado Salad. This is very versatile since you can serve this as an appetizer, main dish or snacks. You can even serve this with tortilla wraps! It is also light for your tummy yet filling.

Sister’s and Cooking.

Last month was my sister’s birthday. As a personal tradition between sisters, I have always been the one who cooks for her birthday ever since because no one else would do it. She wouldn’t, but she’s got a lot of visitors coming in. Since, I wanted to do something for her ALWAYS, and the excuse to cook something is hard to refuse. I do it. EVERY YEAR. Not that I am complaining.
This year is no different. It has been five years since we had a get together. She arrived in the US 5 years ago, and this year my son and I arrived. I’m back to my familiar ground. KITCHEN.
