Ginisang talong sa alamang – Sauteed eggplant in shrimp paste

November is my budget month, I didn’t plan it that way, it just is! Even on budget I still try to make the best of what I have and create /serve good food. So, sharing with you guys a taste of some Filipino dish I usually make back home. This recipe is best served with rice or ‘riced’ cauliflower.

Pork Pepper-o-nuts!

Here’s a new twist to my new Asian find recipe. I just added something to this pork in peppers to make it “interesting”, by blending two kinds of recipes. The result was fantastic!

For you folks with a taste for something Asian, this one is a must try. It’s very versatile, you can use chicken instead of pork with it. It’s low carb and gluten free, too!

Click here for the Pork Pepper-o-nuts recipe. For more choices, you can visit Craving Haven. Thanks!

Chile Chicken

This dish is commonly cooked in Asian counties, and in the Philippines, this is known to be as “halang-halang“, or spiced food. It is a perfect recipe for the fall season because of its spiciness. You can serve it with rice, bread or even when you are drinking with your buddies, otherwise known as “pulutan“, or finger foods (I mean, you can use the fork :))
